250mm Honyaki Sujihiki - A+ grade snakewood and palemoon ebony saya
As a lover of natural exotic woods, this is something that really comforts my soul!
This is a huge gyuto featuring a majestic hamon polished into a very complex technique, giving this look that could be easily confused with a san mai. In its handle we have the most expensive wood in the planet: Snakewood... but not any snakewood, it is A+ grade snakewood! Extremely figured and stable. In its bolster a 1300 years old bog oak.
If you think we are done by here: no.
There is an absolut unit of wooden sheath (saya) out of solid black&white ebony, simply one of the rarest wood species in the planet that you can barely find to use into crafts.
I could have used this black&white ebony for at least 3 handles but i decided to aim at the extraordinary and make a saya out of it. Im confident to say that you wont be able to find more than 5 sayas out of this wood in the PLANET.
